Richie’s life was finally getting back on track after a lot ups and downs in the past seven years. He had gone through a very public divorce from Heather, his dad passing away from cancer, being in and out of rehab, and his on and off again relationship with Denise. It seemed like his life was one big tabloid. He was finally at a place that he had not been in a long time. He was very happy and healthy. Richie was tired of one night stands and the on and off again relationships .It had been fun while it lasted. He was no spring chicken. He wanted to start dating seriously and maybe even get married again if he found the right woman. The past year had been a very busy one for Richie. He had written a recorded a new solo album as well as finished the new album for Bon Jovi .The band was going to promote the beginning of 2013.
It was Monday another typical day for Richie. A day of meetings, interviews, and rehearsal. Richie was hard at work promoting his new album Aftermath of the Lowdown. He was very proud of this record he thought it was the best playing he had ever done. The record was very cathartic he was putting everything that happened out on the table in the past seven years . It showed he was able to pick himself up and move on. He was very excited that he was getting a chance to do a solo tour. It had been 14 years since the last one. He was itching to be the lead singer again. Richie had just finished his fourth appearance for the day. A spot on Jay Leno singing Every Road Leads Home To You. What he called the impact track on the record. Richie said his goodbyes to his long time friends at the Tonight Show and headed to his car. He always loved doing the Tonight Show. He laughed to himself as he thought of tonight’s episode.
Jay never disappointed. Tonight he would have to watch. Jay was a awesome guy .He liked hot rods just like Richie and they had talked about getting together to go to a local Hot Rod show . Richie got into his car and grabbed his day planner from the passenger seat which could be mistaken for a bible because of how thick it was. He marked off Jay’s appearance and looked to see what else he had left for the day. Next on the agenda rehearsal at 4pm.They only had a week before they left for the first date on the tour in Amsterdam . It was going to be a very busy week he thought. Between getting ready to go on tour, doing interviews, and Ava’s birthday he hoped he could fit everything in .He checked his watch it was 1pm. Sweet I have 3 hour break he thought. I will go get something to eat and pick Ava up from school it will be a surprise he thought. I got a better idea he thought I will pick her up early from school and take her out to lunch. A early B-Day present he thought. Richie started the car and put The Pulse on the radio. He smiled when he heard Every Road come on “Jesus I love that song” he said out loud. He still loved the rush of hearing his music coming on the radio for the first time. Richie put the car in drive and started to pull out of the parking lot when his cell phone rang. Hearing the ring tone he knew right away it was his assistant KD. “Hey darling still taken care of business?“
KD chuckled. “Is that my ring tone for this week“? “Sure is “Richie said “I have some umm other business I would like you to take care of he said in a low seductive voice.
“Fuck you “ KD said “Please do “Richie retorted KD burst out laughing “Sorry I think my husband would have something to say about that “KD said still laughing. “It could be a threesome “. Richie joked “Maybe you should ask him”? KD joked back . “Nah I think I will leave that one alone “.Richie said

They both burst out laughing. KD loved working for Richie . They always playfully messed with each other

“Rich I’m just calling you to let you know they have just added two more dates to the tour in November LA and San Francisco“. “Great” Richie said “I’m glad to hear that keep them coming“! KD laughed “The other thing you asked for has been arranged“. “Oh Ava’s birthday present” Richie said smiling.
“All taken care off”. KD said “Awesome she will never guess it in a million years“. Richie laughed “I think you outdid yourself this time Rich. How are you going to top this next year on her 16th birthday“? KD asked
“I don’t know darling thank god I have a year to think about it“. KD laughed
“Yeah you better start thinking “. KD said
“I know “Richie groaned “Maybe I will just give her my Credit Card next year! Jesus I can’t believe my baby is going to be 15! It seemed just like yesterday she was a baby”. Richie said wiping a tear from his eye. “I know they grow up so fast. Maybe its time to have another

last time “Richie laughed. “Thanks KD I don’t know what I would do without you“! “I don’t know what you would do without me either . I will email you all of the details”. KD said .
“ Ok darling talk to you later“. “Ok talk to you soon Rich” KD hung up Richie set his phone down in the middle tray between the seats . He looked at his watch again it was 1:20. “Shit I better get a move on if I want to carry out my surprise for Ava “.he said out loud.
Realizing he never even put the car back in park. “Wow that’s what that kid does to me I forget where I am“! He chuckled as he pulled out of the parking lot.
